I've always loved looking through old family albums. It fills me with nostalgia and reminder me where I've come from — and this is why I am passionate about preserving these memories for you and your family.

One of my goals 2021 was to get products into my clients hands and not merely send digital files which end up collecting dust and forgotten on a hard drive somewhere.

I want you to be able to see your photos in your home. Whether it’s a beautiful album on the coffee table to share with family and friends or a keepsake box filled with your favourite prints from our session. I want you to be able to hold them and look at them with your little ones, so I've included a substantial print credit with every collection.

Within your online gallery, you will be able to order some of the finest products Australia has to offer such as Heirloom albums (my absolute favourite!), wall art and fine art prints.

Here are my top 7 reasons why I love lifestyle newborn sessions so much:

1. No Need to Travel: This is the first and most obvious reason why having your newborn photographed at home with a lifestyle photographer is the most appealing. When you’re a new mum, the last thing you want to do is get out and commute all the way to a studio with a one-week-old baby.

2. Comfort of home: You are adjusting to a new life and the baby is adapting to its new home; this can be a challenging transition period and you certainly do not need to add any extra stress. A newborn lifestyle session takes place in your environment, where you are most comfortable and relaxed, and so is baby.

3. Personal Home Surroundings: There is nothing more unique than having a session at your home. It just screams you and your uniquely designed and curated space will make your gallery look completely different, special and unique from every family that has also booked a newborn photographer. So many newborn portraits have the same background, with the same blankets and the same props, but when you have a lifestyle session at your home, you’re incorporating the aspects of you and your loved ones that no studio has.

4. The home you brought your baby to: Maybe this is your chosen forever dream home. Or maybe this is your home in this chapter of life. Either way this is the home, the home you brought your new family member to in the first days of life. You’ll always remember this space.

5. Flexible schedule: A newborn session should generally take place within the first 2 weeks after birth, however a lifestyle session is much more flexible. I can document this special time with your baby at 1 week, 3 weeks or even 2 months.

6. Outfit Changes are Easier: Everything you own is already at home, which makes clothing changes and last-minute decisions a whole lot easier.

7. Siblings are Comfortable: Sibling shots can be the trickiest to capture during a newborn session. Oftentimes the focus has been on your newborn, and we want to make sure we include your son(s)/daughter(s) as much as we can in this shared experience together!

This is one of the most common questions I am asked so allow me to explain :)

In a nutshell, lifestyle photography is a style of portrait photography that aims to capture real-life situations in an artistic manner. The purpose of this type of photography is to share your story through candid, un-staged scenes.

My lifestyle sessions are first and foremost about you guys spending quality time together and having fun! It is essentially about capturing your connection to one another and aims to keep things very natural and easy, however, it stills requires direction and guidance from me as your photographer. Therefore, I guide and direct you into different poses but within these I encourage interaction so that you can still be your fun and quirky selves which will show through in the beautiful photographs. The poses include standing, sitting and even moving around a bit. Within these I ask you to cuddle, tickle, whisper and play games. I don’t want you to look at the camera unless I call you and I don’t expect you to smile unless you are having fun! While I always try to get some more traditional family portraits with everyone looking at the camera, this is not my priority!

Using extensively natural light, my main goal is to create beautiful works of art from seemingly ordinary moments that weave together to tell your story.
